On the road.
They say that travel expands your life but I don’t think it’s the travelling itself that is expansive. It’s the places and people, the new experiences, the eye-opening and heart-warming moments, the smells, the tastes and the new and different perspectives that broaden your life.. and amongst all this it’s the sharing of experiences that adds to the encounters.
At home.
There is joy and beauty in the monotony if you only look for it. The way the light catches in rooms at different times of the day. The smell of old books and photo albums (remember when we used to print photos?). Reading books, having baths, pouring whines, clean sheets, creating… there is beauty in the small moments if only you’d slow down enough to see it.
In the studio.
There is nothing I love more than sharing a delicious meal with the people I love. We make meaning in our life when we are connected and creating. In my opinion sharing food is the universal way of doing this. I love to experiment and play in the kitchen; creating quick, fun and often spontaneous meals that are never too fancy and always a crowd pleaser.
Under the sea.
I didn’t realise how blessed my childhood was until I grew up. With the Great Barrier Reef and 74 islands at my doorstep my under water adventures are few and far between. Stalking fish, fan grilling coral, unknowingly mapping out coral reefs and catching a seafood dinner have always been regular moments in my regular life.
